Science needs champions, so we are stepping up.
We advocate for science.
Science has a public relations problem. The pandemic taught us that the general public doesn’t trust science or scientists.
The Pesky Do-Gooder Science Foundation is aiming to change that with positive social media campaigns that advocate for science.
We put science into action.
The Pesky Do-Gooder Science Foundation believes that normal people can apply science right now in their everyday lives, and our trusted messenger scientists show people how to do just that.
References matter.
Anything that we advocate is backed by peer reviewed scientific journal articles that represent the best consensus of the scientific community. We don’t follow trends or quack science. Check our work by following the “References” link on each post.
Dr. Jennifer Umphress
Meet our President and Chief Science Communicator. Her background is in plant biotechnology, and as an agricultural scientist she worked for some of the biggest names in the industry. When she’s not hard at work leading the Pesky Do-Gooder Science Foundation, she can usually be found tending to her butterfly garden, singing with her church choir, or catching up with her Army wife friends. Get to know her through our social media feeds.
